Tiles are coated with several layers of non-toxic water based sealer and backed with natural cork. Hand Painted "White Butterflies" Ceramic Tile Coaster Set is available the Art Tile Store. To conserve energy and avoid toxic hazards, Maggie preps and paints her tiles with eco-friendly paints and varnishes.Sold! "Daylily" Accent Tile. Hand painted tiles beautifully accent walls when framed inside a shadow-box, used on a kitchen, bar or bathroom blacksplash, as coasters, placed on a small easel or as trivets.

Tiles can be custom painted to match a theme or event.

All tiles are painted with acrylic paints and glazes that are heat set in the oven at 300 F.
Maggie's use of acrylics and glazes are intentionally eco-friendly: they use less energy resources and keep toxic fumes down.
Artists like myself strive to create art to fill our soul and need to create, it is like drinking water, we can't live without it, but we also want and desire to create something that is  beautiful, decorative, functional, and yes eco-friendly for you as well.

After several coats of UV protection and another layer of non-toxic sealer; Maggie's handpainted tiles can be applied to walls in the same manner as any tile bought in a store.
